Tall Reeds
My 10 foot tall "Reesds" sculpture is a breath of fresh air, a zen feeling comes to you by just looking at Tall Reeds. The photos do the piece justice, Tall Reeds blends into the background and adds a sense of calmness.
Below are some photos of a Tall Reeds piece that has been powder-coated bright red for a client in Pleasanton, CA. They asked for four sets of Reeds together in a 54 degree arc. Once the piece was installed it became iconic. Absolutely beautiful.
Reeds makes a wonderful sound when the wind wafts past. It takes a breeze of 15 to 20 mph to hear the soothing sounds. This is not a chiming piece, rather a warm deep tonal sound.
Tall Reeds never gets louder than the background. If it's windy you'll hear the wind and the reeds, together in harmony.
I can make Tall Reeds in any size you like. The standard is 10 foot tall, but 6, 7, 8, or 9 foot tall is fine. I standardize on 11 reeds per piece ( I love that number (one and one together))
